Did you know that the Department of Defense, now the Department of War, has a Cadillac program to help you hire veterans coming right off of active duty?
I want to talk to you today about that program. It is, of course, called SkillBridge.
Now, SkillBridge is part of a larger department within the Department of War under the Transition Assistance Program. The two are not exactly the same thing. Transition Assistance Program or TAP and SkillBridge work together but distinctly differently and they serve different roles.
Now, SkillBridge is designed to help a select few transitioning service members go back to the private sector through a program wherein they will be able to work with a prospective employer right up until the time that they are discharged or retired from the military while they are still being paid by the Department of War and not at the expense of the prospective employer. Sounds like a great deal, doesn’t it?
Well, we here at Vetted Employers can help you navigate all of the administrative and bureaucratic hoops that you’re going to have to jump through in order to make use of SkillBridge. There’s a lot of little things that have to be done and the programs have to line up with that transitioning service members’ needs as well as the needs of you, the prospective employer.But we’re happy and proud to do it and we already have a proven track record of success.
